GaYoung Kim, also known as GaGa or Gabong, is a Seoul-based handcraft artist exploring contemporary aesthetics through objects and material experiments. While her early practice was shaped by extensive art education and philosophical inquiry, her current creations exist purely for their aesthetic resonance.
“Hiss… hiss… hiss…”
Beware the rattlesnake—its tail may rattle, but my hands do not.
Rejection, melancholy, despair may strike, yet I keep creating, steady and unshaken.
Beyond her artistic practice, GaYoung also works professionally as a gallery curator, bridging art-making and exhibition-making with equal passion.
